AEM Increases Capacity at Ningbo. Actuator Electric Motors (AEM) is fully operational in its new facility in Ningbo, China. We are experiencing exponential improvement in shipping, logistics, and communication/coordination.

Along with more capacity and the fact that all production processes are in one building, we can now absorb increasing demand seamlessly, with greater effectiveness.

AEM was founded in 1986 and was acquired by GT Group, headquartered in Les Herbiers, France, in 2019. As the company grew, we needed to be closer to the port for improved transportation and service for customers. Further, optimizing assembly lines would serve to streamline multiple projects.

We have increased our research, development and testing division to accelerate our product-to-market capacity. Our boost in sales and high level of quality assurance have benefited from this new positive working environment.

We have continued to revolutionize the way components are integrated in the Lawn and Garden sector. With our development of Complete Systems, we design the drives, motors and controllers to act together as one unit. This has led to many new product extensions for our current and new customers.

While achieving steady growth in the outdoor power industry, AEM continues to develop custom applications and product-specific features in the power tools sector.

AEM’s new facility offers cost-effective solutions that reinforce GT’s production capability and standard of quality assurance. It has resulted in higher worker retention and employee satisfaction.
