GENERAL TRANSMISSIONS, a world leader in its field, has just created a new business line related to Renewable Energy Sourcs (RES). To support this new division in the development of innovative projects, we are looking for a Product Engineer (RES).

Reporting to the Product Manager and as part of the R&D department, you will join a multidisciplinary team (electronics, validation, certification, laboratory, design etc), dedicated to the development and approval of our new product range.

As such, your main functions will be to :

• Identify the evolution of market needs and define the specifications of new products.
• Collaborate with R&D, collect data and conduct studies. Evaluate the potential of new products and the profitability of projects.
• Participate in the definition and launch of new products in conjunction with the group’s project teams, using a project management approach.
• Support the sales teams and other product managers in the definition and technical modification of products.
• Manage the life cycle of products already on the market, update sales support materials, and gathering competitive intelligence.
• Participate in strategic thinking and analysis of the product range, participate in cross-functional projects led by the marketing team.
• Participate in the industrial protection policy (patent applications, etc.).
• Produce commercial documents and technical material;

Profile

As a graduate of a thermodynamics/energy engineering school, you have significant experience in this role as a project/product engineer in the HVAC/ENR sector.

In addition to your technical skills, you have a real team spirit and an ability to collaborate which will enable you to succeed in this position.

In an internationally-facing environment, a good command of English (read, written and spoken) is essential.
