GENERAL TRANSMISSIONS, a world leader in the design and production of transmission solutions for outdoor maintenance equipment, recognised as a provider of innovative solutions, and internationally established  (Mexico, China and the United States), is looking for a PROTOTYPE TECHNICIAN (M/F) with a specialisation in mechanics, for its R&D centre based in Les Herbiers (85), as part of the development of its new range of electrical products.

Reporting to the Prototype Manager and as part of a multidisciplinary project team, your main mission will be to participate in the creation of prototypes for your product range and to ensure the follow-up and analysis of the various bench and field tests.

In this capacity, you will be responsible for:

• Providing product development support to the design team by choosing materials and components according to specifications;
• Producing prototypes according to the schedules of your various projects;
• Preparing, monitoring and analysing the various bench tests / field-tests necessary for the approval of components / products;
• Participating in the resolution of problems encountered during the development or production phases;
• Carrying out archiving of prototypes according to the applicable procedures;
• Participating in the maintenance of your department’s machinery;

Profile
