GENERAL TRANSMISSIONS, a world leader in the design and production of transmission solutions for outdoor maintenance equipment, recognised as a provider of innovative solutions, and internationally established (Mexico, China and the United States), is looking for a  MECHANICAL DESIGNER (M/F) for its R&D centre based in Les Herbiers (85), as part of the development of its new range of electrical products.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager and as part of a multidisciplinary project team, your main mission will be to participate in the development of new products.

In this capacity, you will be responsible for:

• Designing and compiling in detail the features that meet the specifications required to produce an overall plan.
• Approving technical choices by carrying out simulations, tests and calculations to verify the dimensions;
• Producing the plans with a global vision of the project;
• Participating in the prototyping phases;
• Producing technical documentation

Profile

You have a 2 to 5 year degree in Mechanical Engineering and you wish to join a dynamic, close-knit and growing SME where innovation is at the heart of our considerations.

Previous experience in a similar position and a good knowledge of the industrial world would be appreciated.

You will be dynamic, organised and rigorous, and enjoy teamwork. In an environment that internationally-facing, a good command of English (read, written and spoken) will be an asset.
